If you have a very light skin tone like myself, and want to try the 90’s lip trend (which still seems to be very much alive, which is awesome!) but can’t pull off those brownish colors, definitely checkout Whirl. I can imagine that for many people, this will might a MLBB color, but not for me since I’m way too light. I absolutely love Whirl and think it’s a great, classic and timeless color. I definitely recommend exfoliating and prepping your lips prior to applying Whirl, but that’s a bit obvious when it comes to matte lip products. Whirl has a matte finish, but applies smoothly, it doesn’t tug on my skin (which sometimes was an issue with the lip liner when filling my lips with it) and wears for good six hours. MAC describes it as a “dirty rose” which I think is quite perfect.
The lipstick definitely has more of those rosy vibes and it’s a bit less brown.
Now, I don’t think that that both “Whirl” lip pencil and the lipstick are identical shades, but they are pretty close and do go great together. Oh… who am I kidding, I’d probably feel the need to buy it anyway, especially because of my deep love for the lip liner. Do you guys remember how much I loved MAC’s lip pencil in Whirl?
